Man City v Chelsea
Chelsea maintain Adrian Mutu remains unavailable for selection for Saturday's
Barclays Premiership clash at Manchester City because of injury.
The Romanian striker played for his country in their midweek World Cup
qualifier against the Czech Republic despite his club insisting he had not yet
fully recovered from knee and thigh injuries.
However Serbia and Montenegro striker Mateja Kezman (groin) looks set to be
back in contention after shrugging off a groin injury which is welcome news for
Blues boss Jose Mourinho who is without Didier Drogba (groin) for another two
weeks following surgery.
Wayne Bridge could also feature following his lay-off with a calf problem, as
could Celestine Babayaro (hamstring). Arjen Robben is still a couple of weeks
from a debut after breaking a bone in his foot during pre-season.
Manchester City striker Robbie Fowler returns to the squad for the first time
in four weeks.
He will be on the bench after taking an enforced break to work
on his fitness.
Steve McManaman and Antoine Sibierski are also available after suffering
Achilles and rib injuries respectively.
Promising defender Nedum Onuoha is drafted in after some bright displays for
the reserves but Trevor Sinclair and Claudio Reyna are ruled out.
