Charlton v Newcastle

Charlton are likely to be without defender Radostin Kishishev for Sunday's Barclays Premiership clash with Newcastle.

The Bulgarian international picked up a groin strain playing for his country in a World Cup qualifier against Croatia last week, and is rated extremely doubtful for the match.

Alan Curbishley's team will be aiming to maintain their excellent home record in the league this season, which has seen them collect 10 points and concede only one goal in four matches.

Newcastle striker Patrick Kluivert has lost his battle to be recover from a hamstring injury in time for the game - but Shola Ameobi has recovered from a hip injury.

Ameobi is likely to restore Craig Bellamy as an out-and-out striker alongside Alan Shearer and bring in either Laurent Robert or James Milner on the left wing.

Defender Titus Bramble, who made his comeback for the reserves at Aston Villa on Tuesday, also makes the squad.
