Como v Chievo
This will be something of a forlorn occasion for Como who were relegated last week and host a Chievo team that still has Champions League ambitions to pursue.
The Lakesiders will consider this their last true Serie A fixture as their final home game is against a Torino side also condemned to Serie B football next term.
Chievo coach Luigi Del Neri has this week indicated he will stick with the Verona club, despite interest from many top clubs, and three points would keep the Champions League within his sights.
That would be another remarkable achievement for Del Neri who last season led the Cinderella club to the top of Serie A for six weeks before eventually settling for fifth place in their debut season in the top flight.
However, there was a blow for Chievo this week when their centre forward Federico Cossato learned he will not play again this season because of a muscle strain.
In his absence Sergio Pellissier and Sasa Bjelanovic will lead the hunt for goals at the Stadio Sinigaglia on the shore of the magnificent Lake Como.
Bjelanovic, a former Como player, said: "Football is a funny old game - I have never scored at that stadium.
"I only scored twice for Como and both those goals were away from home. Hopefully I will score away again as now as I am a Chievo player.
"I feel sorry for Como which is the team that showed its belief in me and first brought me to Italy. But my present thoughts are with Chievo and our future must be in Europe."
With John Mensah and Lorenzo D'Anna suspended, Stefano Lorenzi will fill in defence for Del Neri. Ivano Della Morte also misses the game through injury.
Meanwhile, Eugenio Fascetti has hinted he will remain in charge of Como next season despite what has proved an inauspicious return to the top flight for the club.
Against Chievo, Fascetti must do without injured midfielder Nicola Corrent with Benito Carbone the obvious choice as deputy.
Also unavailable are Pasquale Padalino and Marco Rossi. In attack, Fascetti will pair Nicola Amoruso with Nicola Caccia.
Fascetti said: "I could stay here but I will only do that if I am convinced there is a genuine project here.
"We have missed the last train but we will do our duty until the end of the season. There is no motivational problem and we must show our worth even if we have been mathematically relegated.
"Chievo had better not turn their noses up at us."
Chievo have never won in five previous matches between the clubs and in their last match at the Lakeside back in 1995 it finished 0-0.
